Stylin' Lady

I was giddy with delight when this sweet lady agreed to letting me blog about her. Anna is one of the most talented people I have ever met. Take one look at her and she will be one of those girls that is just so darn amazingly cute, she will make you sick! The only way to compensate for those envious feelings that you will have towards her, is the fact that she is also one of the sweetest, gentlest, most down-to-earth person that you will ever come across on this earth.

On Anna's blog, Tulip Louise, you will find a little mixture of all things fashionable. Being a fashion stylist comes naturally for Anna, who interned in New York City, and worked for fashion powerhouse Neiman Marcus. You might not be able to afford your own personal stylist, but that is ok since you can gather lots of ideas from snapshots of Anna's personal clients' wardrobes.

Along with ways to pull outfits together you will find a tutorial on how to do an inverted french manicure,
a tutorial on the infamous top knot,
and even a creative college of Anna's wedding memorabilia (you must check out her wedding pictures). I am telling you, Tulip Louise is jam packed with all kinds of great stuff!

.......................

As if all of this weren't enough, Anna has helped co-found the site Style.By.Me, which allows you to browse though the latest styles from real people, as well as showcase your own styles. Right now they are exclusive to the Northwest Arkansas area and Nashville, TN. This is a great way to get on and find inspiration for outfits when you are needing a little help! Also, below each picture is listed where the articles were purchased. I have found myself going to this site over and over again!

Please go by and check both of these fabulous sites out--and be sure to tell Miss Anna that I sent you!

P.S. I am overwhelmingly excited that I will be taking a trip to NYC with Anna (and the best group of girls in the world) in May!!

Sunday Inspiration

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6

Prayer Request:
As my long-time readers know, my parents have lived overseas for the past 4 years. My father has taken a job in a different location, much more dangerous than the previous stint. Please pray for his safety-not only physically, but mentally as well. Please pray for guidance and discernment from the Lord in all of his actions and decisions. Please pray for those that are around him to know there is something about this man, for curiosity, and that the light of God shine though and give opportunities for ministry.

I am so blessed to have two wonderful parents who have taught me that with God, anything is possible!

XOXO

Friday Five

Is it really Friday? Thank goodness! Though this week went by pretty quickly, I admit that I was dreading having to go to work today. Not that anything was wrong, and you know I adore my little munchkins, but sometimes I just do not want to have to go through all of the physical actions of getting ready and driving. God really smiled on me today, because I am sitting here in bed, in my bathrobe, writing this! Here are five things that I am loving today.

1. My truly wonderful husband, who I am eternally grateful to have as my very own.

2. That I awoke to snow on the ground, snow falling heavily and no work today!

3. This is one of my favorite photos from the week.

4. This Louis Vuitton trunk. Hopefully, someday I will have one of these as decor in my home.

5. Next week at this time I will be on a weekend vacation!

Happy Friday, my lovelies!

Let's Build A Fort

Happy Pink and Green Thursday! Since we are in the month of LOVE, I thought I would take advantage of this time and post a couple of fun Valentine ideas.

Do you remember when you were a child and bult forts? Did you make them in the woods with sticks and branches or in the living room with chairs and sheets? My mother was always such a wonderful sport and drug out sheets, blankets, pillow and clothes pins for me to use. Do you remember that feeling of dread when it was time to clean up? Well, I've found a fort that you might never want to take down! With a little bit of time and effort, you could surprise your honey with this fancy nest! To see full directions click here.

Want another cute Valentine idea? Download a free set of stickers to go on fruit here. They are a little something special to add to the lunches that go out of the house each morning!

XOXO,

Hannah

Firewood Needed

Sometimes a girl (and her princess) has to take matters into her own hands!

Wordless Wednesday-Fur

Semi Wordless Wednesday Hosted by Flip Flops and Pearls

I know that fur is a hot topic right now, but I just could not resist posting these lovely pictures. Nothing says elegant warmth like a classic fur! I hope everyone is staying bundled up on this very cold Wednesday! (I have two fires going and it is still cold here!)

Tasty Tuesday--Beer-Braised Chicken

Company came for dinner last night, and I did the no-no thing to do and served something I had never made before. Fortunately, it was very tasty!

Ingredients
1/4 pound slab or thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs (about 2 1/2 pounds)
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
All-purpose flour, for dredging
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 (12-ounce) bottle beer (preferably brown ale)
1 cup frozen pearl onions, thawed
1/2 pound small red-skinned new potatoes, halved
2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
4 sprigs fresh thyme
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions
Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate.

Season the chicken with salt and pepper and dredge in flour, shaking off the excess. Add the olive oil to the drippings in the pot. Add the chicken in batches and cook over medium-high heat until golden on the bottom, 6 to 7 minutes, then flip and sear the other side, about 1 minute.

Add the beer, onions, potatoes, mustard, sugar, thyme and 1 cup water to the pot and stir, making sure the chicken is fully submerged. Simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes. Discard the thyme and stir in the bacon and parsley.

So sorry that I have been MIA the past week. A lot has been going on, but hopefully it will be semi back to normal for a while. Thanks for being such wonderfully loyal readers!
