Change of Address

For the love of all things cute and girly, I really want to send out "We've Moved" cards in the mail to friends and family letting them know our new address. Very excited about a new stationery store, I popped into one yesterday to check out their inventory. The lady was rude, fussed at me for talking to her dog and didn't ask me if I needed any help. So, now I've turned to the internet. Polka Dot Design is one of the first sites I always get on and browse.

The cards that show your journey are some of my favorites. What do you think of the picture on the second one? Do you think it makes it more personal?

Call it cheesey, but part of me wants to do a card with mountains, moose, fish or skiing. I cannot find one that I really like or that isn't too winter-ish. Something like this one might work.

This one might be my favorite.

As much as I would like to have a pink and green card, polka dot card or something else brightly colored with shoes, I don't think Bryan would be very happy about it. Which one is your favorite? Any or none and keep looking? If you know of a site where I might find something, please share.

  1. I love the one that says "we've moved" in that gorgeous font! It's girly for you, yet not too much for him :) I probably wouldn't do one with a photo... save that for a holiday card ;) Bon Voyage!! XO

  2. I agree with Georgine ... I love the "we've moved" one showing the two states. I recently got the cute "change of a dress" ones from Polka Dot Designs. They were adorable but you obviously have a man to consider as well. Those would be way to girly. Good luck with the transition! :)

  3. Eww not cool, lady. Guess we're used to the southern friendlies. :) I like the ones with the maps showing you moved from x to x.

  4. I love the map versions! Too cute! I got our moving cards from tinyprints - can't go wrong with them!! However, the design backfired on me! It was a cute little old fashioned postcard with "stamps" on the top right but the Post Office is apparently challenged and sent a bunch of the cards back to us because it wasn't "real postage". Um hi people, look at the back?? Moral of the story, don't put fake postage on the front of your postcards - even in there's real postage on the back. But I digress. Go with the maps!

  5. We just sold our house and moved out, but we are still on the hunt for our new home. This is a wonderful idea when we move into our new house! So many cute versions it's hard to choose one. The first one is adorable, but I also love the simplicity of the first one!
