Last Monday I got on and wrote a post about all of the going away events that had taken place. As I was uploading the last pictures, something happened and the whole post was deleted. You know how it automatically saves? Oh yes, the computer saved it right as everything got erased. On to bigger and much better things...we have finally arrived at our destination!! There are lots of things that I want to share, but first I am going to rewind and do the post on the week before we left.
Wednesday night {September 5th} Bryan and I ate dinner with about fifteen friends at our favorite wing restaurant in Texarkana. In spite of it being the first night of football, we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
Thursday night Bryan and I ate our last dinner with our small group at a new Italian restaurant. They have all been such blessings in our lives and we are going to miss them tremendously. It wasn't until we were driving out of the parking lot that I realized we hadn't taken any pictures. {Very bad blogger.}
I honestly cannot remember what we did Friday night; I think we got Mexican food and ate it at home while we packed. The plan for Saturday was to tailgate for a little while at the Razorback game and then spend the afternoon with Bryan's brother and his wife going to an air show. Of course we ended up being pressed for time and didn't make it to the tailgate and Allan came by himself to see us. That night we drove to Stuttgart to say goodbye to all of Bryan's family.
Sunday we met the Rutledges, Morgans and Stewarts for lunch at U.S. Pizza. Even though we don't get to see them often, there is something saddening about being even further away from these sweet friends. Gus stole the show in his red boots and cowboy hats. Cutest.Baby. Big Boy. Ever. After lunch we went to Conway and said goodbye to my grandparents and aunt and uncle. Lots of driving!
Getting to spend time with some of our favorite people before we left made leaving much easier. Bryan's first day of work at his new office went well yesterday and Ivy is happy to be a mountain dog. More to come tomorrow!
