Shopping Day

As I mentioned on Sunday, Bryan's mom and I went shopping on Saturday afternoon. Last year while in Canton, Texas, we had our first experience at the Paul Michael Company store there. It boasts of home decor at reasonable prices and has an unbeatable range of items from carved Indian armoires to Italian urns. The company now has four locations, with the original in Lake Village, Arkansas, only a few hours away from Bryan's parents' home. My MIL and I have mentioned numerous times how we would love to spend a day driving down to shop but never got around to doing it until this past weekend. Worth it? Definitely.

There are so many things tucked in and around all over the place that you can walk through numerous times and see new items each time. Here are a few pictures that I snapped on my first time through.

The fall decor section was perfect for finding inspiration that I have needed to transform our house from summer to fall. There were lots of ideas for arrangements and wreaths, which I thoroughly enjoy making on my own instead of purchasing them from a florist.

I really cannot begin to explain the Christmas section which was just put together for browsing. There were rooms filled to the brim with Christmas ornaments, sprigs, ribbons, deco mesh, and any other Christmas decor that you can possibly imagine. Seriously, there were rooms of ribbon and deco mesh. I was blown away by the sheer magnitude of it that I could not concentrate to think about what I really needed to add to my collection. I did grab some ribbon and deco mesh that I knew I would have to use at some point. We have already decided that another trip will be made during the Thanksgiving holidays.

I did not manage to snap a picture of it, but there is a huge room at the back that is the scratch and dent section. Everything was 50% off the lowest price. We had a wonderful day together doing something we both enjoy. It was a decor heaven on earth!

**Please excuse the poor quality photos. They were all on my iPhone and hard to capture in the store.
